Meet our Producers

Meet our six ambitious production companies/producers who are all keen to take their first steps into the broadcast market.

All six are based in the Tees Valley, and now it’s your chance to get to know them a bit better.

Adam Bouabda - Sea and Sky Pictures

Adam is Head of Production for Sea and Sky Pictures, which is a small Indie located in Hartlepool, but working across the North East and further afield.

They create a broad range of content including short films, feature films, scripted and unscripted television, and long or short form social content.

They are passionate about the North East and wish to build their production company into one that creates sustainable jobs within the region.

Arcus Studios

Arcus Animation Studios are an international award-winning animation company with office bases in Hartlepool’s The BIS and Gateshead’s Northern Design Centre.

They are winners of the North East Royal Television Society Award in Excellence in Animation from 2017-2019, and have won the Award for Excellence in Digital Innovation.

They are regarded as the premier 2D animation studio north of Manchester.

Ben Young - Autokino

Ben Young is a filmmaker based in the North East, working as a producer, writer, and director across documentary, fiction, and experimental forms.

His work has been exhibited and distributed across many festivals and platforms worldwide, ranging from the Venice Film Festival and DOK Leipzig, to Netflix and Tubi.

He is a member of the Biennale College, Rotterdam Lab, and EAVE, and currently produces a diverse slate: features, series, and short form, through his new company Autokino.

Chris Tritschler - Shoot on Site Films

Shoot on Site films limited founded by Chris Tritschler, currently make broadcast quality shows for specific YouTube audiences, and have recently delivered a 12 episode factual series The Underground History Show’.

Chris, who leads team, has a background as a craft trained cameraman and a self shooting PD on Discovery Networks Europe (via associate/assistant producer route). He has banked over 20 years experience as camera director and holds a Masters in film editing and brings a broad range of broadcast experience from The Office, French and Saunders, Eastenders to Celebs Go Dating, The Tonight Show and Scrapheap Challenge, along with experience of music videos for the likes of Texas, The Murder Dolls, Raging Speed Horn.

Development is under way on a raft of factual and drama projects.

 

Jen Corcoran - Freya Films

Freya Films was established in Teesside in 2019 as a dynamic, international-facing production company with a regional base.

Headed up by Creative Producer, Jen Corcoran, Freya is developing a slate of feature films and high-end drama characterised by progressive and contemporary storytelling.

Freya works across both documentary and fiction with a focus on edgy and uncompromising female voices and championing new narratives from the North East.

Wander Films

Wander Films is an award-winning full-service video marketing company, currently creating high impact engaging video for businesses based in the heart of Middlesbrough.

They take traditional video production techniques then make it as un-traditional and impactful as possible.

They’ve got some ideas in mind which  will diversify their current offer, which is why they’re part of Producers Fast Track.
