As part of Northern Film + Media’s (NFM) working partnership with the BBC, we are delighted to invite you to our second webinar with BBC commissioners: What makes a good factual TV programme.
Where do ideas come from? How can we ‘grow’ and present ideas so they attract a commission?
What are commissioners and channels looking for? What’s new and fresh? Finally, and most importantly, will it work for the audience?
In this webinar three BBC commissioners will tackle these big questions. They will use both good and bad examples and there will be plenty of opportunities to ask questions and exchange views.
For those who are interested in submitting proposals for the upcoming BBC Three/BBC England development opportunity, this will be a great way to start shaping and refining your ideas.
The commissioners on the webinar will be Nasfim Haque, Commissioning Editor Factual BBC Content, and Tony Parker and Diana Hare, Commissioning Executives in BBC England.
Places are free but limited. You must have a North East base and be over 18 years old to attend. This event is aimed at Producers and Production companies interested in BBC Commissions.
A must for anyone wishing to make the most of future BBC Three opportunities or with serious longer term aspirations to move into broadcast.
This is the second in a series of events aiming to get ready for the business of broadcast and forms part of NFM and the BBC’s joint commitment to skills and business development aimed at levelling up companies and individuals working in, or sidestepping into, the broadcast sector.
