If you are over 18 and have a North East base, the NFM Crew Academy Bootcamp is an amazing opportunity to learn from top industry professionals. You will hear about the skills needed, the benefits, the challenges, the practicalities and how to transfer your skills.

Monday 25th April 10.30am – 12noon.
Session 1 – Introduction to unscripted TV.
The first of the Bootcamp sessions will explore what is unscripted TV and the differences between working in scripted and unscripted TV. You will find out what each department looks like, the team structures, roles and entry level jobs. Finally you will explore what skills are required.

Tuesday 26th April 10.30am – 12noon.
Session 2 – Practicalities of working in unscripted TV
You will learn about a basic production timeline, common tasks and software and what working as a freelancer can be like. There will be a Q&A section at the end of the session.

Wednesday 27th April 10.30am – 12noon.
Session 3 – CV and cover email writing.
This session will cover content and format for a dynamic CV, transferrable skills, what the reader sees and constructing cover emails that can lead to an interview. This will be followed by a Q&A session.

Thursday 28th April 10.30am – 12noon.
Session 4 – Creating employment opportunities & networking
Finding advertised roles, connecting with potential employers, building your employment networks and resources will all be covered in this session, followed by questions and answers.

Friday 29th April 10.30am – 12.30pm.
Session 5 – Live Panel Chat
This final session will be your chance to ask questions to new entrants and employers.
