NFM Academy: Working in TV Drama – Assistant Director

Posted on 16th July 2020 by Charlotte Nixon

Thursday 23rd July, 2:30pm-4pm

Do you work well under pressure? Are you organised and a team player? Do you have strong communication skills and, most of all, common sense?

Learn all there is to know about starting out in the AD Department, how best to prepare for your first day on set, and what it takes to become part of the team.

Introducing Jamie Hamer, 2nd Assistant Director. Jamie has over 11 years of experience in High End TV and Film. Jamie has worked on productions such as Sorry We Missed YouVeraHigh Rise and most recently Outlander .

This will be an interactive session, and you will need your camera and microphone on. A call sheet will be sent out to all attendees prior to the session, just as it would on a real production. Jamie would like you to read it carefully and make notes on how best to prepare for your first day in the AD department as a floor runner. We will discuss and share our thoughts on the day!

Register via Eventbrite here. We will send a Zoom Meeting link via email 24 hours before the event.
