NFM Academy: Working in TV Drama – Makeup

Posted on 22nd June 2020 by Charlotte Nixon

Monday 29th June, 10:30am-12pm

Ever thought about a career in TV makeup?

Introducing Michael Birtley, RTS-award-winning Makeup Designer. Michael has worked in the industry for over 25 years on productions such as Our Friends in the NorthBilly ElliotByker GroveWolfblood, and The Dumping Ground to name a few.

This is your chance to learn all about the makeup department and what it takes to work as part of his team.

This will be an interactive session, and you will need your camera and microphone on. Michael would like you to think about how you could create a makeup design for a homeless person. You could draw this by hand, create on an electronic device, or even just jot down notes or bullet-points – whatever you’re most comfortable with. We will share, feed back and discuss your designs on the day.

Register via Eventbrite here. We will send a Zoom link via email 24 hours before the event.
