Four of the webinars from our NFM Crew Academy: Working in TV Drama series are now available to stream online. Recorded via Zoom, these webinars saw us sit down with professionals across the Costume, Locations, Camera, Sound and Production Office departments.
For Costume we spoke with Carole Machin, Principle Costumier, who has over 17 years experience working in the industry. Hear all about Carole’s industry journey, which includes His Dark Materials, Dune, The Eternals, Gangs of London, Military Wives, Downton Abbey and The Crown, and how she got to work on her current production, The Nevers.
Representing Locations was Andrew Bainbridge, one of the most experienced location managers in the North, who has worked on War of the Worlds, World on Fire, The Witness for the Prosecution, City and the City, Vera, Inspector George Gently and many more regional and national productions. Andrew is currently working on The Irregulars.
For Camera & Sound, actor and director Daymon Britton hosted an incredible panel of five professionals for us – Jamie Hicks and Tom Finch representing Camera, DIT expert Caden Elliot, and Stu Wright and Alessandro Pascale from Sound.
Production Office was a sold-out event, with the team behind ITV’s Vera chatting to us. Fahima Chowdhury is a Line Producer with over 20 years of experience in TV Production, and Production Coordinator Lynsey Palmer has worked on ABC Murders, Frontier for Netflix, The Royals, Inspector George Gently, The Dumping Ground and National Treasure to name but a few.
