From our base in Gateshead we provide a free and invaluable production service for film and TV productions shooting anywhere in the North East of England. We aim to promote the region and ensure that not only does filming go smoothly but that we maximise benefits of production for the region.
Having worked in the past with many high profile dramas including ITV’s Vera and BBC’s Inspector George Gently, CBBC’s Dumping Ground, Tiger Aspect’s Danny and Mick, and feature films including Ken Loach’s I, Daniel Blake and Sorry We Missed You, Transformers, Avengers End Game, Atonement, and Harry Potter, we are ideally placed to help with locations, crew, facilities, local and regional contacts, accommodation and much more.

We are always looking for locations, especially private homes. You can register any type of property here as long as it is in the north east. The most important part of your listing is photographs which you can upload or send to info@nfmarchive.northeastscreen.org. Your listing does not place you under any obligation to allow filming nor does it carry any guarantees of filming at your property.

If you have a north east base and are looking for work in film and TV you can register here. You must have at least one professional credit in the last five years for each category with the exception of New Entrant, Trainee and Runner categories. You will also need to upload your CV.

Using regionally based crew with local knowledge is beneficial to any production and can prove much more cost effective than bringing crew from outside the region. There is a wealth of experienced crew here in the North East, many of whom learnt their trade in the region, broadened their skills elsewhere and then returned to the North East bringing that knowledge and skills back with them. Our database allows you to search for the region’s best crew who will help make your shoot a success. We can also circulate job opportunities to specific grades and advertise using our social media channels, funding and opportunities page and weekly opportunities post.
